Main Purpose of the Job

The purpose of the position is:

To provide cleaning services for Government offices.

Office Cleaner Responsibilities

Successful applicants will perform duties including:

  • Carrying out daily cleaning duties.
  • Disinfecting toilets.
  • Sweeping and scrubbing.
  • Cleaning and polishing surfaces.
  • Dusting windows, chairs, tables and cabinets.
  • Ensuring cleaning materials and equipment are used correctly and stored safely.
  • Preparing tea for offices and meetings.
  • Washing cups, spoons, saucers and other kitchen utensils and storing them safely.
  • Unlocking and locking offices and other buildings before and after cleaning.
  • Washing, ironing and storing linen such as curtains and tablecloths.
  • Preparing and arranging conference rooms for meetings and functions.
  • Filling water bottles regularly where applicable.
  • Watering indoor plants and ensuring that they remain in good condition.
  • Performing any other related duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must have:

Minimum Primary School Leaving Examination Certificate (PSLE).
