Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in an accounting role.
  • Knowledge and practical experience using Pastel accounting software.
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial administration.
  • Ability to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Good numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

-Confirm and process payment invoices.

-Maintain accurate creditor records.

-Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts.

-Maintain accurate financial records.

-Prepare and process journal entries.

-Complete monthly supplier reconciliations.

-Prepare VAT returns.

-Ensure supplier invoices are processed correctly and on time.

-Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements.

-Record inter-company or inter-affiliate transactions.

-Perform banking activities.

-Conduct regular bank reconciliations.

-Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes.

-Ensure financial activities comply with relevant regulations and requirements.


Skills and Competencies

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills.
  • Good knowledge of Pastel.
  • Financial reconciliation skills.
  • Good Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
  • Strong numerical ability.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to meet financial reporting deadlines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively within a finance team.
