Minimum Requirements

Applicants should have:

-A Diploma or Degree in Medical Billing, Health Information Management or a related field.

-Experience in medical claims processing within a healthcare facility.

-Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding systems.

-Knowledge of medical billing processes and procedures.

-Excellent attention to detail.

-Strong organisational skills.

Proficiency in GoodX or similar medical billing software will be an advantage.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Process and submit medical claims accurately.
  • Handle medical billing and coding in accordance with ICD-10 and CPT standards.
  • Ensure claims contain accurate and complete information before submission.
  • Liaise with medical aid providers regarding claims.
  • Follow up and assist with resolving claim-related issues.
  • Assist with financial reconciliations.
  • Provide assistance during financial audits.
  • Maintain accurate claims and billing information.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant clinic policies and regulations.
  • Support efficient administration of the clinic’s medical claims processes.
