Job Overview
The Cash Centre Bulk Teller is responsible for processing, verifying, balancing, and accounting for large volumes of cash transactions within the Cash Centre.
Successful candidates will ensure that all cash is handled securely and accurately while complying with the bank’s operational procedures, internal controls, and regulatory requirements. The Cash Centre operates seven days a week, and employees must be willing to work according to operational schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Receiving, sorting, counting, verifying, and processing bulk cash deposits and withdrawals.
- Accurately balancing and reconciling all cash transactions within required timelines.
- Detecting and reporting counterfeit, suspicious, or irregular cash transactions.
- Following all cash handling procedures and operational controls.
- Maintaining accurate transaction records and supporting documentation.
- Assisting with vault balancing and cash inventory management.
- Investigating and resolving cash discrepancies promptly.
- Maintaining a clear audit trail for internal and external audits.
- Supporting compliance with banking regulations and operational risk controls.
- Contributing to Cash Centre productivity and service delivery targets.
- Demonstrating cost awareness and efficient use of resources.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A Degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 1โ2 years’ experience in:
- Cash handling
- Teller operations
- Cash Centre operations
- Or a similar banking environment.
- Strong numerical and reconciliation skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good understanding of banking procedures and cash management controls.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
Is Experience Required?
Yes.
Applicants must have at least 1โ2 years of experience in cash handling, teller services, cash centre operations, or a similar banking environment.
