This role provides administrative and technical support to the Project Geology Section, focusing on sampling, data handling, and core management within a mining environment.
Salary / Remuneration
- Market-related mining salary
- Fixed-term contract (6 months)
- Opportunity to gain practical field experience
- Exposure to drilling, sampling, and geological processes
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely sample collection
- Prepare and manage sample dispatch processes
- Perform core fitting, handling, and layout
- Assist with sampling, meter marking, and RQD measurements
- Track and monitor sampling processes regularly
- Manage storage and cataloguing of drill core and chips
- Maintain sampling standards and procedures
- Perform QA/QC checks on samples
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies
Requirements & Skills
- Minimum 3 years field experience in geological sampling
- Experience with diamond drilling and sampling processes
- Knowledge of RQD and SG measurements
- Competent in sample validation and dispatching
