Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
-Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Nutrition and Technology, or an equivalent qualification.
-Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar quality control role.
-Experience with the implementation and maintenance of ISO 17025 Laboratory Management Systems.
-Computer literacy (MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will:
-Conduct quality analysis of raw materials and finished products throughout the production process.
-Identify and report quality abnormalities.
-Ensure the availability and correct use of control samples.
-Analyse laboratory samples and maintain accurate testing records.
-Inspect food processing operations and ensure compliance with quality standards.
-Promote workplace health, safety and environmental practices.
-Maintain quality control records for reporting and decision-making.
-Monitor personnel hygiene and housekeeping practices.
-Verify compliance with company specifications and legal requirements.
-Confirm the usability of stock before production.
-Participate in ISO and Kaizen quality improvement programmes.
