Overview
Selebi-Phikwe Town Council is inviting applications from qualified Botswana citizens for the position of Driver I. The role involves transporting goods and passengers safely, maintaining Council vehicles, and supporting administrative transport needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive assigned vehicle safely and responsibly.
- Perform daily checks and report faults to the supervisor.
- Maintain and update the vehicle logbook.
- Repair and replace worn-out tyres; ensure correct pressure.
- Wash and clean vehicles.
- Report accidents, monitor mileage, and check licenses for validity.
- Undertake any other related duties as directed.
Requirements
- Minimum of Primary School Leaving Examination (PLSE).
- Valid Botswana Driverโs License (Class โCโ).
- Minimum of two (2) yearsโ driving experience.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary Scale: B4 (P57,348 โ P65,424 per annum).
- Leave: 20 working days per annum.
- Benefits: Contributory Pension Fund (Govt. 15%, Employee 5%); Optional Medical Aid Scheme (Govt. 80%, Employee 20%).
