Overview

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is hiring Merchandisers across multiple locations. This role focuses on maintaining high merchandising standards, ensuring shelves are well-stocked, and delivering excellent customer service in-store.


Key Responsibilities

– Replenish stock to ensure product availability and maximise sales

– Ensure all merchandise is correctly displayed, labelled, and priced

– Rotate stock regularly using FIFO principles

– Monitor and remove expired or damaged stock

– Maintain clean, organised shelves and storerooms

– Assist with stocktaking and inventory control

– Build and maintain merchandising displays according to company standards

– Assist with loading and offloading of stock when required

– Report stock shortages, discrepancies, or issues to management

– Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers

– Stay updated on promotions and product knowledge

– Follow all company policies, SOPs, and health & safety regulations


Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • 0โ€“6 months retail experience (minimum)
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays

  • Strong communication skills (English required)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Time management and organisation
  • Trustworthy and reliable

Advantageous

  • 1 year retail or merchandising experience
  • Knowledge of FMCG or merchandising standards
  • Bilingual or additional languages
