Overview
Homechoice is seeking motivated Shop Assistants to join its retail team across multiple locations. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, driving sales, and maintaining showroom standards while helping customers find the right homeware products.
Key Responsibilities
– Assist customers on the showroom floor and convert interactions into sales
– Demonstrate products and explain features, pricing, and promotions
– Achieve sales targets and support overall store performance
– Process customer orders, payments, and related documentation accurately
– Handle customer queries professionally and escalate when necessary
– Maintain product knowledge and stay updated on promotions
– Ensure stock is replenished and properly displayed
– Maintain cleanliness and visual merchandising standards
– Follow company procedures for cash handling, stock control, and compliance
– Work collaboratively with team members to meet store goals
Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Minimum 1 year retail or sales experience
- Customer-facing experience in a target-driven environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Clear criminal and credit record
