Overview

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is recruiting Security Guards across multiple provinces to ensure the safety of staff, customers, and company assets. This role involves monitoring premises, preventing losses, and responding to security risks in line with industry regulations.


Key Responsibilities

– Monitor and control access to store premises

– Conduct regular patrols to identify and prevent security risks

– Detect and report suspicious activities or incidents

– Perform searches on staff, visitors, and vehicles when required

– Maintain registers, occurrence books, and security records

– Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed

– Monitor CCTV systems and alarm equipment

– Assist during emergencies and evacuation procedures

– Enforce company security policies and procedures

– Provide professional and helpful assistance to customers and staff


Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • PSIRA Grade C accreditation (essential)
  • Minimum 3 yearsโ€™ experience in retail security (malls/warehouses)
  • Good communication skills (English required)
  • South African citizen
  • Clear criminal and credit record

  • Attention to detail and reporting accuracy
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends
