About the Role
The successful candidate will provide safe, reliable and timely transport services for patients, staff, visitors, medical supplies, laboratory specimens, medication, documents and other hospital resources while ensuring hospital vehicles remain clean, roadworthy and well maintained.
Key Responsibilities
-Safely transport patients, staff and visitors.
-Collect and deliver laboratory specimens, blood products, pharmacy items, documents and medical supplies.
-Perform daily vehicle inspections, including checking fuel, oil, tyres, brakes, lights and water levels.
-Report vehicle faults and maintenance issues promptly.
-Maintain hospital vehicles in a clean and roadworthy condition.
-Ensure vehicle licences, insurance and permits remain up to date.
-Deliver professional, friendly and courteous customer service.
-Address client concerns and escalate issues when necessary.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Form V / BGCSE or equivalent qualification.
- Valid Botswana Driver’s Licence (Minimum Class B; Class C1 will be an advantage).
- Minimum of 2 years’ proven driving experience with a clean driving record.
- Good knowledge of Gaborone and Botswana road networks.
- Good understanding of Botswana traffic laws.
Added Advantages
- Valid First Aid or Defensive Driving Certificate.
- Public Service Vehicle (PSV) Permit.
- Previous experience in a hospital, courier or passenger transport environment.
