About the Role
The successful candidate will help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hospital, including clinical and non-clinical areas, while following infection prevention and control procedures. The role also includes general housekeeping and theatre/surgical cleaning where required.
Key Responsibilities
-Clean hospital wards, theatres, consulting rooms, offices, waiting areas, corridors and ablution facilities.
-Follow daily cleaning schedules and hospital hygiene standards.
-Use colour-coded cleaning equipment correctly for designated areas.
-Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum and polish floors.
-Damp-dust furniture, fixtures and medical equipment.
-Prepare and use cleaning chemicals safely and according to instructions.
-Store cleaning chemicals securely.
-Provide friendly and professional customer service to patients, visitors and staff.
-Report concerns and escalate issues where necessary.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Form V / BGCSE or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 1โ2 years’ cleaning experience, preferably in a hospital, clinic or hospitality environment.
Added Advantages
- Certificate in Housekeeping, Hygiene or Cleaning Services.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control procedures.
- Knowledge of the safe use of cleaning chemicals.
- Experience with theatre or surgical cleaning.
