Overview

Radisson Blu Hotel Port Elizabeth is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Storeman to manage the receiving, storage, and distribution of goods within the hotel. This role is essential in ensuring proper stock control, hygiene standards, and efficient inventory management in line with company policies.


Key Responsibilities

– Receive all deliveries and verify quantities, quality, and pricing

– Match delivered goods against purchase orders and supplier invoices

– Inspect products for expiry dates and overall quality standards

– Accurately weigh and count stock upon delivery

– Report discrepancies and follow up on credit notes with procurement

– Ensure all goods are properly stored in designated areas

– Maintain correct stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out)

– Transport goods hygienically to relevant departments

– Maintain cleanliness, organization, and security of the storeroom

– Complete all required documentation and ensure accurate record-keeping


Requirements & Skills

  • Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification
  • 1โ€“5 yearsโ€™ experience in stock control, inventory, or warehouse operations
  • Computer literacy (MS Office, especially Excel)
  • Ability to use stock control systems and scanning equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
