Overview

BUCO and TimberCity retail stores are currently recruiting Cashiers to join their teams in multiple locations. The main purpose of the role is to provide excellent customer service at the point of sale while ensuring accurate and secure processing of all transactions.

The successful candidates will be responsible for handling payments, maintaining accurate till balances, and ensuring customers receive friendly and efficient service during checkout.

Key Responsibilities

– Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.

– Process purchases accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.

– Receive and process payments including cash, cards, and other payment methods.

– Issue accurate receipts for all transactions.

– Balance the till and ensure cash handling procedures are followed.

– Maintain strong customer service and public relations standards.

– Ensure the security of all receipts and cash in the till.

– Promote and uphold the companyโ€™s values and culture.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
  • Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Friendly, helpful, and customer-focused attitude.
  • 2โ€“3 years cashier experience will be an advantage.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Knowledge of building material products will be beneficial.
