Overview
BUCO and Brands4Africa (B4A) are recruiting Merchandisers to join their retail teams across several locations. The main purpose of this role is to ensure that all stock within the store is correctly displayed, neatly organised, and properly maintained on shelves, racks, bays, and gondolas.
Successful candidates will assist with merchandising, customer service, stock control, and maintaining store presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
– Ensure all stock is correctly displayed, binned, and organised on shelves.
– Maintain racks, bays, gondolas, and display areas in a clean and organised condition.
– Assist customers with product enquiries and provide excellent customer service.
– Support sales activities and help achieve store sales and gross profit targets.
– Assist with product promotions and merchandising campaigns.
– Follow up on customer quotations and sales opportunities.
– Monitor stock levels and report depleted or missing stock.
– Identify and report damaged stock.
– Assist with receiving and checking stock deliveries.
– Return misplaced stock to the correct locations.
– Assist with regular stock counts and inventory control.
– Maintain store equipment and ensure merchandising standards are met.
– Uphold and promote the companyโs values and culture.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- 1โ2 yearsโ experience in a merchandising or retail environment.
- At least 1 year of shelf packing or merchandising experience.
- Knowledge of the building materials or hardware environment will be an advantage.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to achieve sales targets and support store operations.
- Good organisational and stock management skills.
