Job Overview
The Ministry of Sport and Arts invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced Botswana citizens for the position of Nightwatchman based at Moshupa Stadium.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the stadium, facilities, and surrounding premises during periods when the stadium is not occupied.
Main Purpose of the Job
To safeguard the stadium premises and ensure the protection of government property by preventing theft, vandalism, unauthorized access, and other security risks.
Key Responsibilities
โข Check all doors and facilities to ensure buildings are properly locked and secured.
โข Patrol stadium buildings, grounds, and surrounding areas regularly.
โข Monitor premises to prevent theft, vandalism, illegal entry, and fire hazards.
โข Conduct inspections of doors, windows, gates, and perimeter security.
โข Patrol the stadium and inspect exterior lighting systems.
โข Report emergencies and suspicious activities to the police, fire department, or relevant authorities.
โข Work night shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
โข Remain vigilant and maintain security standards at all times.
โข Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
โข Primary School Leaving Examination Certificate (PSLE) or equivalent qualification.
Experience
โข Experience in security services will be an added advantage.
Additional Knowledge
โข Knowledge of security procedures, safety regulations, hazards, and precautionary measures will be advantageous.
Is Experience Required?
No.
Experience is not mandatory; however, applicants with previous security-related experience will have an added advantage during the selection process.
