Overview

Cape Union Mart International is recruiting Shop Assistants (2 positions) for their stores in Sandton (Poetry – Morningside & Cape Union Mart). This role is ideal for individuals passionate about retail, customer service, and sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

– Deliver excellent customer service using effective selling techniques

– Meet and exceed individual sales targets consistently

– Identify opportunities to increase sales and maximise turnover

– Maintain store cleanliness and visual merchandising standards

– Prevent stock loss and adhere to store control procedures

– Build positive relationships with customers and team members

– Create an engaging and inspiring shopping environment

Requirements & Skills

Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
Minimum 6 months retail experience
Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of fashion, clothing trends, or outdoor lifestyle (advantageous)
Honest, reliable, and customer-focused
Clear criminal record
