Overview

Medirite Plus Soshanguve is looking for a Store Assistant to join its front shop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers, supporting sales activities, and ensuring that customers receive professional and friendly service while shopping in the store.

This role plays an important part in maintaining a positive shopping experience by helping customers with enquiries, promoting products and store promotions, and supporting daily retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

– Welcome customers and provide friendly, helpful assistance.

– Respond to customer enquiries regarding store products, services, and policies.

– Inform customers about current promotions and special offers.

– Assist with product exchanges and refunds according to store procedures.

– Promote loyalty programmes and assist customers with registrations.

– Work closely with pharmacy staff and store management to ensure efficient service.

– Assist with training new team members on store procedures and customer service standards.

Requirements & Skills

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 1 year of retail or customer service experience (pharmacy retail experience will be an advantage).

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to process transactions accurately.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills.
  • Friendly, patient, and approachable personality.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality service.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Willingness to learn about pharmacy products and services.

Working Conditions

  • Retail working hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • May require standing for long periods and occasional lifting of light to moderate stock items.
