Overview

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is currently recruiting Cashiers across several stores in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal. These roles are responsible for delivering exceptional customer service at the point of sale while ensuring accurate processing of customer transactions according to company policies and standard operating procedures.

Successful candidates will help maintain Dis-Chemโ€™s high customer service standards and contribute to a safe, efficient, and professional retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

– Process customer purchases accurately using the Dis-Chem operating system.

– Receive and process payments including cash, cards, vouchers, and coupons.

– Maintain high standards of customer service and professional conduct.

– Inform customers about promotions, loyalty programmes, and store offers.

– Handle refunds and exchanges according to store procedures.

– Ensure cash is handled safely and stored according to company policies.

– Report suspicious behaviour, complaints, and compliments to management.

– Assist customers with queries about store products and services.

– Follow all company security policies and operational procedures.

Requirements & Skills

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Minimum 6 months cashier or till operations experience.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office).
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good command of the English language.
  • Willing and able to work retail hours.
