Dis-Chem Pharmacies is recruiting 6 Security Guards across various locations to ensure the protection of assets, staff, and customers in line with the Private Security Industry Regulations Act (Act 56 of 2001).

Job Purpose

To provide professional security services that meet Dis-Chem’s operational and legislative requirements by safeguarding company property, preventing loss, and maintaining a secure retail environment.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric
Grade C PSIRA accreditation
PSIRA registered
Minimum 3 years’ exposure in a retail environment
Clear criminal and credit record
South African citizen
Ability to read, write and speak English

Advantageous:

Previous experience in a similar security role
Additional language proficiency
Driver’s licence and reliable transport

Key Responsibilities

– Conduct routine patrols and monitor premises

– Control access points and conduct searches

– Maintain occurrence books and registers

– Monitor CCTV and alarm systems

– Report suspicious activities and incidents

– Enforce store policies and safety procedures

– Assist during emergencies and evacuations
