Job Overview

We are recruiting Cashiers and a Till Controller across multiple locations. These roles are essential in ensuring customers enjoy a smooth, efficient, and friendly checkout experience. Successful candidates will be responsible for handling transactions accurately, maintaining a clean work area, and delivering excellent customer service at all times.

These positions report to the Till Supervisor and require flexibility to work across trading and non-trading hours, including Sundays and public holidays.


Key Responsibilities

– Operate an electronic point-of-sale system with accuracy

– Process cash, card, and other payment methods correctly

– Ensure tills are balanced and payments are reconciled

– Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic checkout area

– Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service

– Stay informed about current promotions and product codes

– Communicate clearly with customers and team members

– Work efficiently during peak trading periods


Minimum Requirements

  • Matric certificate
  • Previous cashier or POS experience
  • Good command of English
  • Reside within 25 km of the job location
  • Clear criminal record
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Preferences

  • South African citizens
  • Candidates between 18 and 43 years old
