Job Overview
Pedros is recruiting Cashiers to join its restaurant teams in Harrismith and Pietermaritzburg. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service while accurately and efficiently processing transactions at the point of sale in a fast-paced Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) environment.
Key Responsibilities
– Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system
– Deliver friendly, professional, and efficient customer service at all times
– Maintain required speed of service in line with company standards
– Process all payment types correctly according to standard operating procedures
– Inform customers about current promotions and specials to support sales growth
– Upsell and apply suggestive selling techniques to increase average order value
– Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of front-of-house counter areas
– Ensure front-of-house stock levels are maintained according to SOPs
Minimum Requirements
- Senior Certificate (required)
- National Senior Certificate (preferred)
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Minimum of 1 year cashier experience (QSR or retail environment preferred)
- Ability to work accurately under pressure
- Customer-focused and service-driven attitude
