About the Opportunity

SFI Group is recruiting HVAC Assistants to support qualified technicians with installation, servicing, maintenance, and repairs of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems. This role is ideal for motivated, hands-on individuals who want to grow into fully qualified HVAC professionals.
Key Responsibilities
– Assist technicians with HVAC repairs, maintenance, and system checks
– Support installation of HVAC equipment and components
– Help maintain and clean tools, equipment, and work areas
– Follow all Health & Safety regulations at all times
– Prepare job sites, equipment, and materials before work begins
– Assist with preventative maintenance tasks
– Perform general housekeeping and ensure safe working conditions
– Work closely with technicians and team members to complete daily tasks
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Valid Driverโs Licence (advantageous)
- N1 โ N4 Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (advantageous)
- 1โ2 yearsโ experience in HVAC (beneficial but not mandatory)

Technical Skills:
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Ability to assist with troubleshooting and equipment maintenance
- Willingness to learn and understand HVAC systems
Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive, helpful attitude
- Team player with good communication skills
