What You’ll Learn

Through structured on-the-job training and classroom learning, you’ll master the full craft of butchery, including:

Meat Preparation & Cutting Skills – Learn how to cut, trim, portion, and prepare quality meat products.
Packaging & Display Techniques – Present and package products professionally to attract customers.
Food Safety & Hygiene – Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety at all times.
Operational Flow – Manage stock, equipment, and store operations efficiently.
Customer Service Skills – Provide professional advice and assistance to shoppers at the meat counter.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this opportunity, you must be:

– A South African citizen, aged 18–34 years.

– Unemployed and eager to develop a practical trade.

– Physically fit and comfortable working in cold environments.

– Able to work with your hands and follow detailed instructions.

– Passionate about food, teamwork, and customer service.

– No prior experience is required — just commitment, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.
