Overview
Cape Union Mart (Stores Central Division) seeks enthusiastic, customer-focused team members to support store operations during the festive season. This entry-level contract is ideal for energetic self-starters who enjoy sales, thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, and take pride in outstanding customer service and store presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Exceed customer expectations using effective selling techniques and product knowledge.
- Adhere to stock-loss controls, cash-handling standards, and all store operating procedures.
- Consistently achieve individual sales targets and identify opportunities to drive sales.
- Maintain housekeeping and uphold visual merchandising standards to optimise sales.
- Contribute to an inspiring, positive store culture and teamwork.
Requirements & Skills
- Desirable: 6 monthsโ retail experience.
- Desirable: Matric or equivalent (e.g., BGCSE).
- Clear criminal record.
- Proficiency in English with strong verbal communication skills.
- Customer-service mindset with a friendly, confident, and engaging personality.
- Reliability, honesty in handling cash/finances, and strong ownership of tasks.
- Adaptability, relationship-building, and willingness to work retail hours (weekends/public holidays).
