Overview

Cape Union Mart (Stores Central Division) seeks enthusiastic, customer-focused team members to support store operations during the festive season. This entry-level contract is ideal for energetic self-starters who enjoy sales, thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, and take pride in outstanding customer service and store presentation.

Key Responsibilities

Exceed customer expectations using effective selling techniques and product knowledge.
Adhere to stock-loss controls, cash-handling standards, and all store operating procedures.
Consistently achieve individual sales targets and identify opportunities to drive sales.
Maintain housekeeping and uphold visual merchandising standards to optimise sales.
Contribute to an inspiring, positive store culture and teamwork.

Requirements & Skills

Desirable: 6 months’ retail experience.
Desirable: Matric or equivalent (e.g., BGCSE).
Clear criminal record.
Proficiency in English with strong verbal communication skills.
Customer-service mindset with a friendly, confident, and engaging personality.
Reliability, honesty in handling cash/finances, and strong ownership of tasks.
Adaptability, relationship-building, and willingness to work retail hours (weekends/public holidays).
