Overview

The Department of Employment and Labour is recruiting 165 UI Client Service Officers across the Free State and KwaZulu-Natal provinces. These roles form part of frontline service delivery, ensuring that Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) services are accessible, efficient, and client-focused.

Key Responsibilities

Provide client screening services.
Process UIF applications and benefit claims.
Register payment continuation forms.
Perform general administrative functions.
Deliver quality customer service in line with Batho Pele principles.

Requirements

Grade 12 / Senior Certificate (Matric).
No prior work experience required.
Knowledge of: UIF Act & Regulations, UIF Contributions Act, PFMA, POPIA, Treasury Regulations, Batho Pele Principles, Department of Labour & UIF policies/procedures.
Skills in:
- Interviewing & communication (verbal/written).
- Customer service and care principles.
- Listening, conflict management & interpretation of UIF-related policies.
- Time management, analytical skills & interpersonal relations.
- Telephone etiquette & computer literacy.
- On-the-job operational training (systems).
