Overview

Triton Academy, part of Triton Express, is offering unemployed South African youth the opportunity to participate in a 12-month Freight Handling Learnership. The programme combines theoretical training with workplace practical experience, providing a valuable platform to gain skills in logistics, warehousing, and transport operations.


Key Responsibilities (Training Activities)

  • Load and off-load goods from vehicles.
  • Prepare vehicles for trips.
  • Receive, dispatch, and handle freight documentation.
  • Perform warehouse and transport-related duties.
  • Delivery and collection of goods and stock.
  • Pick and pack stock accurately.
  • Verify incoming stock against documentation.
  • Ensure safe stacking and securing of goods.
  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
  • Participate in structured theoretical training aligned to unit standards.
  • Gain workplace experience with mentorship.
  • Prepare for external assessments and final verification.

Entry Requirements

  • South African citizen.
  • Grade 12 or TVET N3 / NQF Level 2 qualification (minimum 40% in Maths and English).
  • Aged between 23 and 35 years.
  • Medically fit.
  • Able to read and write in English.
  • Numerically orientated.
  • Willing to work shifts and weekends.
  • Clear criminal record.
  • Must reside in: Germiston, Alberton, Boksburg, or Johannesburg.
  • Working hours: 08h00 โ€“ 18h00.

Advantageous:

  • Previous work experience.
