Key Responsibilities
– Deliver outstanding customer service through strong product knowledge and selling techniques.
– Consistently meet and exceed sales targets and store performance goals.
– Maintain excellent visual merchandising and store presentation standards.
– Process all transactions efficiently โ including cash, card, vouchers, and loyalty programmes.
– Handle customer queries, exchanges, and returns professionally.
– Monitor stock levels and support stock loss prevention measures.
– Foster an inspiring and positive in-store atmosphere โ where creativity and service meet style.
– Report customer feedback and assist in resolving complaints promptly.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:
- Matric or equivalent qualification.
- Up to 6 months retail experience.
- Excellent communication and customer engagement skills.
- Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Clear credit and criminal record.
- South African citizen.
Advantageous:
- 1 year retail experience in a fashion or lifestyle environment.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office & POS systems).
- Knowledge of current fashion trends and the Poetry brand aesthetic.
