Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

– Greet every customer within 30 seconds of entry.

– Deliver exceptional customer service following Birkenstock’s standards.

– Identify customer needs and demonstrate product benefits confidently.

– Close sales and promote add-on products.

– Build customer loyalty and encourage repeat business.

– Track and achieve daily individual sales targets.

Inventory & Stock Management

Replenish footwear, apparel, and accessories daily.
Check deliveries, invoices, and accurately capture data in the POS system.
Maintain accurate pricing and minimize shrinkage.
Follow store security and stockroom organization procedures.

Store Operations

Maintain excellent housekeeping — cleaning, organizing, and preparing the store for trade.
Assist management with daily opening and closing procedures.

Training & Development

Participate actively in training sessions and complete all assessments.
Meet regularly with store managers for progress and performance feedback.
Follow the Birkenstock Rookie Pack for personal development and promotion readiness.

Merchandising

Maintain visual merchandising standards in line with brand guidelines.
Assist with window changes and product displays.
Ensure all point-of-sale materials are properly stored and protected.

Requirements

Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 6 months retail or customer service experience.
Knowledge of Birkenstock products (advantageous).
Availability to work flexible retail shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
