Job Purpose

The Invigilator will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of assessments by monitoring students during examinations, ensuring all assessment regulations are adhered to, and that no irregularities occur.

This is a temporary, part-time position ideal for individuals seeking short-term employment within an educational institution.


Key Responsibilities

– Supervise and monitor students during assessments to ensure compliance with examination rules.

– Distribute and collect answer booklets, exam papers, and other assessment materials.

– Prepare and arrange assessment venues prior to sessions according to institutional standards.

– Report and document any irregularities or incidents during assessments.

– Provide assistance in emergency situations (e.g., illness or evacuation).

– Address student queries courteously within the scope of assessment protocols.

– Submit a detailed report to the Assessment Officer after each session.


Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / NQF Level 4 qualification (essential).
  • Higher Certificate or Diploma (advantageous).
  • 1โ€“2 years of experience in an academic, administrative, or supervisory environment.
  • Must be available during the full examination period.
