Overview

Glenstantia Primary School, a well-established institution committed to holistic education, is seeking three (3) After-School Centre Assistants to join its team in Pretoria.

The successful candidates will help provide a safe, structured, and supportive environment for learners during after-school hours, encouraging learning, social development, and positive behaviour through engaging activities.

Key Responsibilities

– Supervise learners during after-school sessions, ensuring their safety and well-being.

– Create a structured and caring environment that supports both play and learning.

– Assist learners with homework, reading, and creative projects.

– Maintain discipline and promote respectful behaviour among learners.

– Support the centre’s daily operations, including activity preparation and cleanup.

– Collaborate with staff to plan and implement fun, educational after-school programs.

– Communicate effectively with teachers and parents when required.

Requirements & Skills

Minimum Requirements:

Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
Proven experience working with children or in an after-school environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Fluent in English (additional languages advantageous).
Ability to work Monday to Friday, 13:00 – 17:30.
Must have no criminal record and provide a valid police clearance certificate.
