About the Role
- Merchandising & Stock Care: Replenish shelves, face up, rotate stock (FIFO), check dates, report low/damaged/expired items, and build/maintain displays to corporate standards.
- Storeroom & Housekeeping: Keep back-of-house neat, flatten boxes, assist with off-loading/loading, and maintain store cleanliness.
- Product & Pricing: Ensure correct labels/prices, flag discrepancies, mark barcode-less items clearly.
- Customer Service: Be friendly and helpful, follow up on out-of-stock queries, and support back-shopping when needed.
- Teamwork & Training: Assist with cycle counts/stocktakes and help onboard new team members.
- Compliance: Follow Health & Safety, security, uniform, and operational SOPs at all times.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric (essential).
- No experience required (0โ6 months retail experience acceptable; 1 year is advantageous).
- English literacy (read/write/speak); basic numeracy & attention to detail.
- Willing & able to work retail hours (incl. weekends/public holidays).
- Driverโs licence/reliable transport preferred; SA citizen or valid work permit.
- Clear credit & criminal record.
