About the Roles (what youโll do)
- Serve customers at the point of sale and deliver a friendly, professional checkout experience.
- Process all payment types (cash, cards, vouchers/coupons, loyalty partners, etc.).
- Handle returns/exchanges as authorised; get price changes/voids signed off.
- Keep your till balanced, place cash in drop-safe as per SOP, and protect your login details.
- Know current promotions and help customers with product/merchandise queries.
- Follow safety, shrink and security procedures; report suspicious activity.
- Maintain the โ5-Starโ communication and service standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric (essential).
- No experience required for Cashier/Casual Cashier/Talent Pool roles โ training provided.
- Prior till/cashier experience (ยฑ6 months) is advantageous and may be needed at some stores; stronger training/retail exposure is preferred for the Development Trainer role.
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office), good numeracy and English communication.
- Willing & able to work retail hours (weekends/holidays/rotational shifts).
- SA Citizen, clear credit and criminal record, and reliable transport/close proximity.
