Overview

BUCO Potchefstroom is looking for a Security Checker to join the team. The purpose of this role is to help prevent theft, reduce stock losses, and ensure that all goods leaving the store or yard are properly verified and authorised.

The successful candidate will also help maintain security on the premises and support daily access control procedures.

Key Responsibilities

– Check all goods leaving the store or yard to ensure accuracy.

– Verify all sales and returned items against relevant documentation.

– Obtain required signatures from credit customers.

– Process and monitor payments from cash customers when required.

– Conduct vehicle checks when entering or leaving the premises.

– Monitor boom gate movement and control access to the premises.

– Maintain the daily visitorsโ€™ register.

– Report suspicious behaviour or security concerns immediately.

– Maintain professional conduct and good timekeeping.

– Promote and uphold the companyโ€™s values and culture.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably within a hardware or retail environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication and observation skills.
  • Ability to maintain security procedures and follow company policies.
