Overview

VKB Grain, part of the VKB Group, is seeking a Learner Grain Grader to join its operations in Villiers, Free State. VKB Group is a leading agricultural company supporting farmers and producing farm-to-consumer food products. This entry-level opportunity offers training and development for individuals interested in building a career in the grain and agriculture sector.

The successful candidate will assist with grain sampling and grading processes while completing the required training and certification courses.

Key Responsibilities

– Assist with the grain sampling and grading process in accordance with statutory standards and procedures.

– Perform grain grading and quality assessments under supervision.

– Manage administrative tasks related to incoming and outgoing grain logistics.

– Maintain accurate records and documentation of grading activities.

– Assist with resolving grading-related queries or disputes when required.

– Complete all compulsory grain grading training courses.

Requirements & Skills

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF Level 4 qualification.
  • Basic computer literacy and administrative skills.
  • Clear criminal record with traceable references.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Advantageous

  • Previous exposure or experience within the agricultural sector.
