Job Overview
We are recruiting General Assistants and related store support roles across multiple locations. These roles are ideal for hands-on, reliable individuals who can support daily store and distribution operations, assist with stock handling, loading and offloading, housekeeping, and customer-facing support where required.
Some positions are General Assistant โ Jumper roles, which involve assisting drivers with deliveries and ensuring all paperwork is handled accurately.
Key Responsibilities
– Load, unload, count, sort, and stack stock and materials
– Assist drivers with loading and offloading of delivery vehicles
– Accept, check, and manage incoming and outgoing deliveries
– Ensure correct paperwork is issued to stores and returned to relevant departments
– Prepare and complete orders according to schedules
– Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
– Communicate important delivery or stock-related information to clients and supervisors
– Support stock control, shelf packing, food counters, or specialised departments where required
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Previous experience as a General Assistant, General Worker, Warehouse Worker, or similar
- Reside within 25 km of the work location
- Clear criminal record
Preferences
- South African citizens
- Candidates with own reliable transport
- Candidates aged 18 to 45
Assessment Process
Shortlisted candidates may be required to complete a Potential Work Performance Assessment Battery and answer role-specific screening questions related to physical work, stock handling, and warehouse or store operations.
