Job Overview
Pedros is expanding and recruiting Cashiers for newly opened and existing stores across KwaZulu-Natal and the Free State. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing restaurant brand, be part of a high-energy team, and develop your customer service and point-of-sale skills in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering friendly, accurate, and efficient service at the front counter while supporting smooth daily store operations.
Key Responsibilities
– Process customer orders and payments accurately using POS systems
– Handle cash, card, and digital payment methods responsibly
– Issue receipts and process refunds or exchanges where required
– Promote current specials and upsell menu items
– Manage customer queues efficiently during peak periods
– Respond to basic customer queries and resolve minor complaints
– Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter and front area
– Balance cash and complete end-of-shift reports
– Safeguard company assets and assist with loss prevention
Requirements
- Previous cashier, retail, or restaurant experience (advantageous)
- Strong numeracy and basic computer skills
- Customer-focused mindset with good communication skills
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
