Job Overview

Ares Holdings is recruiting a Shop Assistant to join the VANS store at the V&A Waterfront. This role is ideal for someone passionate about streetwear, sneakers, youth culture, and delivering standout customer experiences.

The successful candidate will act as a brand ambassador, driving sales through strong product knowledge, styling advice, and excellent customer service while maintaining visual merchandising standards aligned with the VANS brand.


Key Responsibilities

– Deliver exceptional customer service on the sales floor

– Assist customers with product selection, styling advice, and brand knowledge

– Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently

– Replenish stock and maintain store presentation standards

– Support visual merchandising in line with brand guidelines

– Contribute to a positive, energetic, and performance-driven store environment

– Work towards individual and store sales targets and KPIs

– Represent the brand values, culture, and identity at all times


Minimum Requirements

  • At least 1 year of sales experience, preferably within a similar retail or lifestyle brand
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Sales-driven, motivated, and results-focused mindset
  • Genuine passion for the brand and youth culture
  • Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and retail trading hours
