Job Overview

TWK Agri is recruiting a Workshop Assistant to join its Trade Division at the Pietermaritzburg Mechanisation branch. This entry-level role is ideal for a hands-on individual with an interest in mechanical work who is eager to support technicians in a busy agricultural workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

– Assist technicians with basic repair, servicing, and maintenance work on tractors and implements

– Clean, prepare, and organise parts and equipment for servicing and repairs

– Maintain a neat, safe, and organised workshop and yard area

– Store tools, parts, and consumables correctly after use

– Ensure correct disposal of waste in line with workshop standards

– Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures

– Be available for overtime or weekend work when operationally required

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric)
Valid Code 08 Driver’s Licence
Good verbal communication skills
Physically fit and able to perform manual labour
Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
Reliable, punctual, honest, and detail-oriented

Advantageous

Basic mechanical knowledge or interest
Previous exposure to workshop or technical environments
