Job Overview

Umtiza Farmersโ€™ Corporation, part of the SSK Group, is seeking a Driver / General Assistant to join its retail branch in Lady Frere. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe delivery of stock, assisting with loading and off-loading, and supporting daily operational activities within the branch.

Key Responsibilities

– Deliver stock and inventory to designated locations

– Supervise and assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles

– Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any defects

– Maintain accurate daily vehicle logbooks and reconciliations

– Ensure vehicles are kept clean and roadworthy at all times

– Perform general operational and manual labour duties

– Support customer service and day-to-day branch operations

– Comply with health, safety, and risk management standards

– Carry out additional general duties as required

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
  • Valid South African driverโ€™s licence (Code 08)
  • Minimum of 3 yearsโ€™ operational or similar work experience
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual labour
  • Reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious
