Job Overview
Hyundai SA is seeking a reliable and responsible Light Duty Driver to join its Transportation team at the Cape Town Parts Hub. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials, equipment, and personnel within designated areas, while ensuring compliance with road safety regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
– Safely operate light-duty vehicles to transport parts, materials, and personnel
– Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving policies
– Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
– Maintain accurate records and complete all required transport documentation
– Assist with loading and unloading of goods when required
– Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate deliveries
– Ensure the vehicle remains clean, organised, and well maintained at all times
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Senior Certificate or equivalent
- Valid driverโs licence with a clean driving record
- Previous driving experience (light-duty driving experience preferred)
- Good knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 kg
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
