Broll Property Group is looking for an energetic, detail-driven Marketing Assistant to support the full marketing function for The Grove Mall. This role focuses on digital platforms, marketing execution, public relations, tenant engagement, and administrative coordination. The ideal candidate is creative, organised, and passionate about retail marketing.


Key Responsibilities

1. Marketing & Digital Support

– Assist in implementing the mallโ€™s marketing and brand strategy

– Support digital, print, and social media campaigns

– Manage and update all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, website, etc.)

– Upload promotions, tenant specials, campaigns, and events

– Provide daily website updates and campaign reporting

– Seek new marketing opportunities and support campaign execution

2. Public Relations & Customer Communication

  • Respond to all website, email, and social media enquiries timeously
  • Support communication with media, tenants, service providers, and customers
  • Assist with exhibition sales and maintain relationships with exhibitors
  • Ensure the mallโ€™s professional image is maintained at all times

3. Income, Exhibitions & Budget Support

  • Assist in achieving monthly and annual income targets for exhibitions & indoor advertising
  • Source and secure new exhibitors/advertisers
  • Prepare exhibitor documentation, process invoices, manage debtor records
  • Assist with budget planning, forecasting, and financial administration
  • Obtain quotes, raise purchase orders, and manage supplier documentation

4. Operations, Exhibitions & Administration

  • Assist with setup and quality control of exhibitions and pop-up spaces
  • Ensure all FICA and legal requirements are adhered to
  • Support signage management: internal signage, directory boards, posters, snapper frames
  • Collect tenant turnover and promotional information
  • Prepare tenant newsletters
  • Cover general marketing duties when the Marketing Manager is unavailable

Performance Indicators

  • Effective management of all social media platforms and website
  • Accurate, useful market research
  • Strong public relations and communication with stakeholders
  • Target achievement for income and marketing KPIs
  • Compliance with administrative, financial, and ISO requirements
  • Timely and professional completion of assigned marketing projects

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Marketing qualification (advantageous)
  • Fully computer literate (MS Office Suite)
  • Minimum 3 yearsโ€™ experience in marketing
  • Experience managing social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Website)
  • Experience in retail marketing, events, or shopping centre marketing is beneficial
