Your Role
As a Cashier, youโll be the face of the store, ensuring every customer enjoys a friendly, efficient checkout experience.
Youโll handle transactions, balance cash registers, and maintain high standards of service and accuracy while keeping your workspace clean and organised.
This role reports directly to the Till Supervisor and requires flexibility to work shifts across trading and non-trading hours.
Key Responsibilities
– Operate an electronic point-of-sale (POS) system with a scale.
– Ring up products accurately and issue correct change.
– Maintain balanced cash-ups at the end of each shift.
– Keep the till area clean, organised, and hygienic.
– Deliver exceptional customer service with a positive attitude.
– Stay informed on product codes, promotions, and specials.
– Manage time efficiently, especially during peak shopping periods.
– Handle customer complaints and resolve queries professionally.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 (essential).
- Experience: Previous experience as a Cashier (retail or supermarket preferred).
- Must reside within 25km of the store youโre applying to.
- Clear criminal record.
- Excellent communication and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to stand for long hours and work under pressure.

- Candidates aged 22 to 35 years preferred.
- Friendly, energetic, and customer-focused personality.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work rotating shifts (including weekends and public holidays).
