Overview

Retail stores across the Western Cape are currently recruiting 6 Cashiers to join their teams. This role is ideal for individuals who are customer-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling transactions in a fast-paced retail environment. As a Cashier, you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and positive shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities

– Operate point of sale (POS) systems accurately and efficiently

– Process customer purchases and ensure correct payments and change

– Maintain balanced cash handling and perform daily cash-ups

– Keep the checkout area clean, organised, and hygienic

– Deliver friendly and professional customer service at all times

– Stay informed about product codes, promotions, and store offerings

– Handle customer queries and resolve basic complaints effectively

– Work efficiently during busy periods and peak trading hours

Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric)
Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred
Strong numerical and accuracy skills
Good communication and customer service abilities
Must reside within a reasonable distance from the store
Clear criminal record
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Ability to handle multiple payment methods (cash, card, etc.)
