Overview
Tiger Brands is currently recruiting Packers (Relievers) to support operations within the beverages packaging division. The purpose of this role is to provide relief support by stepping in when team members are unavailable, ensuring continuous production and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
This role is ideal for individuals who are adaptable, hardworking, and able to perform in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
– Operate and monitor packaging equipment including bottling, labelling, sealing, and palletising.
– Ensure packaging materials such as bottles, cans, labels, and cartons are readily available.
– Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the packaging area.
– Perform routine quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
– Report equipment faults, safety risks, or production issues promptly.
– Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and food safety regulations.
– Assist with stock and inventory control of packaging materials.
– Provide support across multiple packaging lines when required.
– Work closely with team members to meet daily production targets.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or packaging (advantageous but not required).
- Ability to operate basic machinery and follow instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit and able to perform repetitive tasks.
