Overview
Tiger Brands is currently recruiting General Workers / Labourers across multiple production sites. These roles involve supporting daily manufacturing operations through manual work, packaging, cleaning, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and food standards.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are hardworking, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
– Perform general production duties including packing, wrapping, and palletising products.
– Prepare materials and equipment required for production processes.
– Ensure correct quantities are packed and sealed properly.
– Monitor production lines and report any faults, defects, or stoppages.
– Maintain cleanliness and hygiene (GMP & 5S standards) in the work area.
– Handle waste collection and disposal within the production facility.
– Support safe start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers when required.
– Inspect products for quality and report any deviations.
– Follow all health, safety, and food safety regulations.
– Assist with loss control and reporting production issues.
– Carry out any additional duties assigned by supervisors.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric); Mathematics and Physics will be advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and occupational safety standards.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain high work standards.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime.
