Overview

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene at its Head Office in Midrand. The successful candidate will ensure that all office and communal areas are kept neat, safe, and in line with Dis-Chem standards.


Key Responsibilities

– Maintain daily cleanliness and hygiene across all office and communal areas.

– Follow cleaning routines to ensure consistent high standards.

– Keep canteen and restroom areas clean, stocked, and organised at all times.

– Perform cleaning duties throughout operational hours as required.

– Ensure waste is checked and disposed of correctly without loss of company items.

– Vacuum carpets in meeting and training rooms daily and other areas weekly.

– Dust office furniture, equipment, and surfaces regularly.

– Follow all health and safety regulations while performing duties.

– Ensure cleaning equipment is stored properly and not left unattended.

– Display wet floor signs when cleaning to ensure safety.

– Assist and guide visitors or staff when required.

– Report any damaged or faulty equipment (e.g. lights, taps, doors) to the team leader.

– Monitor and report low stock levels in kitchens and restrooms.


Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Good time management and ability to work under pressure.
  • Trustworthy and reliable.
  • South African citizen.
  • Clear criminal and credit record.
