Overview

Medirite Plus Soshanguve is currently recruiting a Stock Assistant / Packer to support store operations and maintain accurate stock handling procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving deliveries, organising stock in the storeroom, and ensuring products are properly packed and distributed within the store.

This role requires someone who is organised, physically fit, and able to work efficiently in a busy retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

– Receive incoming stock and verify goods against delivery invoices.

– Capture and record invoices of received goods accurately on the system.

– Ensure products delivered match invoice quantities, product variants, and quality standards.

– Assist with packing, storing, and organising goods in the storeroom.

– Maintain a clean and orderly stockroom environment.

– Process supplier returns in line with company procedures.

– Identify and report stock discrepancies to management.

– Return damaged or unordered goods and complete the required credit documentation.

– Assist with loading, offloading, and moving stock including heavy boxes and pallets.

– Support other departments with operational tasks when required.

Requirements & Skills

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • At least 1 year of experience in a retail or FMCG store environment.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Good understanding of stock control and inventory management.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Basic computer literacy including MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of SAP systems will be advantageous.
  • Good numeracy and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
