Role Overview

Indigo Brands is seeking a reliable and experienced Cleaner (Permanent Part-Time) to support operations at its Epping facility in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within production, service, and outdoor areas, while adhering to safety and operational procedures.

This role reports to the Factory Team Leader and plays an important part in supporting efficient and world-class manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

General Cleaning

– Mop production and service plant areas as required

– Clean stainless steel equipment and pipework in production areas

– Perform daily cleaning of flat and dust-accumulating surfaces

– Clean production-area drains and utensils used by production teams

– Monitor and clean outside yard areas daily

Ad Hoc Duties

Clean machinery as instructed by the Technical Operator, Production Controller, or Factory Manager

Safety & Compliance

Adhere strictly to company health, safety, and production procedures
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment

Continuous Improvement

Suggest improvements to working methods that enhance productivity or quality
Communicate any issues that may affect production efficiency

Minimum Requirements

Matric / Grade 12
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience working as a cleaner
1–3 years’ experience in an FMCG or manufacturing environment (advantageous)
Good understanding of housekeeping standards in production environments
Physically fit and able to perform manual cleaning duties
Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious
